Residence Inn Alexandria Old Town South at Carlyle

From the minute we arrived at this hotel, helped by the wonderful evening/night receptionist everything was really lovely. The rooms are a fantastic size. The beds are huge and it was absolutely ideal for a family of four. The hotel was spotless, including rooms and it was great to have access to a fridge and laundrette. There was a Wegman's supermarket, restaurants and a cinema just around the corner and a great little "corner shop" (not actually on a corner!) where you could buy drinks, snacks and other essentials. The absolute highlight of our stay was the complementary breakfast - particularly the waffles on Sundays! A lovely, comfortable lounge and easy access to the subway to get into Washington. Within walking distance of Alexandria Old Town, which is just delightful!

Everything about this place was excellent

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The room was clean, quiet, and spacious. The location was great, with great dining options, an AMC movie theater, and convenience stores all located within walking distance. The free breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious and full of a variety of options. We will definitely be returning!
